Ramachandra, a Pune based realist painter, creatively expresses the realities of life through the use of rich and abundant colors. A realist of immense ability, he expresses his ironies with the contrast and juxtaposition of colors and images which please the senses to the core.
Indian Art Ideas is a portal established
with the core of objective of serving as a consolidated
platform for showcasing Indian Art in its all encompassing
form. Accordingly, it is possibly one of the largest
collections of Indian Art online and is a one stop resource
for anything related to Indian art.
The website serves as a platform which:
Displays works from Artists: The website hosts works
from the studios of many artists who have been especially
invited at the forum to sell their works directly to the
collectors. Such works have a shopping cart sign against
them and the collectors receive a personally signed
authenticity certificate from the artist if he buys any of
these works.
Displays works from Collectors: Collectors log on to the
website and upload their artworks (including sculptures) for
other collectors to see and admire. The site also has an
inbuilt messaging system through which collectors can
contact each other and also buy and sell art privately and
discreetly without paying any commissions to the website.
Displays a splendid collection of “Sculptures” and
“Traditional Indian paintings” that serve as a treat to the
eyes of the onlooker.
Provides for “Customized” art suiting various needs,
including provision for “Custom Portraits” and “Customized
Paintings” done on request.
Has its own blog for artists and collectors to exchange
views.
Has a timely updated Art news section.
All this and much more await you at the portal.
Be a part of this phenomenon to experience the magic it
holds within!!
The green flash symbol
means that a collector is "Willing to Sell" the artwork. If
you are interested in acquiring it, you should send a message
to the collector. The artworks with “Add to Cart” sign are on
sale from the artist through Indian Art Ideas. You may simply
click on that and proceed to the shopping cart to acquire that
artwork.
Indian Art Ideas is one
of the premier interactive online portals housing one of the
largest and most charismatic collections of Indian Art,
sculptures and artifacts.
We, therefore offer you a variety of ways to choose from
our exhaustive collection. These include:
• By Artist: Choosing artworks by your choice of artist
• By Art Style: Selecting artworks by typical art styles in
India
• By Subject: Choosing artworks by pre defined subject
• By Color: Most of all you can also choose to buy artworks
by your favorite color. All you need to do is to select a
color from our colorful palette (this can be done by clicking
on the “By Palette” link in the center of the left pane) and
you can view all the artworks in our collection having that
predominant color.
Unfortunately, that is
not possible because we are web based portal following a click
and buy model. Moreover, we take due care to ensure that the
images are as close to the real artwork as possible.
No, it is not possible
to reserve artworks for purchase at a later date. However you
can save them in your Favorites by clicking on the “Add to My
Favorites” link against the artwork and can view them as and
when you desire just by clicking on “My Favorites” link.
Yes, at
Indian Art Ideas.com we use the latest security technology, which uses
data encryption, server authentication, and message integrity.
We will never give out any of your information and use it only
for order related matters. Please also read privacy policy for
more information.
Once you order an
artwork, we get the order ready to ship and await the payment
to be credited into our account. As soon as the amount is
credited in our bank account we ship the artwork to your
shipping address immediately through a reliable courier
service.
Almost! We have an
in-built tracking system where all three parties, the
collector, the artist and Indian Art Ideas can track the
status of the Order. Please update the status of your order
timely by logging into your account under "Manage Orders"
link. This keeps Indian Art Ideas duly updated of the status
of your order and we ensure that you get your artworks on
time.
You can get the artwork
delivered almost as soon as the payment gets credited into
Indian Art Ideas bank account. We courier the artwork at the
earliest possible to ensure quick delivery.
In case the work gets
damaged in transit on account of negligent handling or poor
packing, it can be returned to Indian Art Ideas (after
intimating Indian Art Ideas to that effect) within 2 working
days in an ‘as is’ condition – this means you should ship it
back within 2 days even if it takes longer to reach us, that’s
okay. The other reason you can return the work is because the
image does not match the artwork. However, our T&C does not
allow you to return the work because you have changed your
mind and do not like the artwork anymore. Such a return is not
covered by our terms of sale.
Almost all artworks
posted for sale by Artists on the Website are supported by an
authenticity guarantee from the Artist themselves. A major
exception to this is “Traditional Artworks” with respect to
which the Authenticity Certificate is not available. This is
owing to the fact that such artworks are representative of a
particular culture and hence are made by local craftsmen of
those regions who are trained by their ancestors and to whom
such an art passes from generation to generation. Moreover to
ensure transparency of dealings, the details pertaining to all
our artworks specify whether or not they come with an
Authenticity Certificate. Further to clarify,
Indian Art Ideas
does not issue any authenticity guarantee.
If you are a
professional artist please register with
Indian Art Ideas by
clicking on "Artist Sign Up" link appearing at the top panel
of our main page and sub pages. Our Art Panel will review your
application on the basis of your sample art works and bio data
and send you an invite or reject for the forum accordingly.
Please keep in mind that we have a highly discerning collector
base and the Art Panel's decision is final on this. If you are
invited to the Indian Art Ideas forum you will be given a log
in name and password. Using these, you can log in to your
account and post art works for sale. All you have to do is
upload the images of your art works and fill in the requisite
details including your price.
Yes, the size of the
artworks should not exceed 1 Mb. Moreover, please make sure
that you have edited out the borders, frames and text from the
photograph.
When you upload the
image of your artwork, it goes to the backend office for
editing purposes. Once this is done the image gets activated
on the website. If there are many works waiting for submission
at the back end, then they are put in queue to be uploaded
gradually in one or two day’s time.
Please make sure that
the image size does not exceed the ideal size specified for
images to be uploaded. The artwork itself can be very big, but
you can still reduce the size of the image on the "Paint"
function in your computers, to a relatively very small size.
Artworks posted on
Indian Art Ideas forum can be seen under various categories:
Entire IAI Art gallery in the “Artist Corner”
Artists can see their works on their own subpage/mini
website on the forum. For ex., if the name of the artist is
Mohan, the mini website for him will be
www.indianartideas.com/mohan.
‘Sculpture page’ at the top left of the page, if the
artwork is a sculpture
Under ‘Art Style’ link on center left of the page,
depending upon the art style of that artwork
‘By Subject link’ on the center left of the page,
according to the subject chosen for that artwork.
Under ‘By Palette’ link depending upon the predominant
color used in the artwork.
All you need to do to
post your collection is to sign up as a collector for free at
the website. Once the registration is done you can upload as
many images of the artworks as you desire. The size of your
image, however, should not exceed 1 Mb (jpeg or gif format).
The image should be of good quality WITHOUT borders, frames
and text.
Once you have registered and you have the image, just login
to your account and click on 'Post your collection' to upload
the same. Remember to add the bio-data if it is a new artist.
Also do write a few words about the artwork and your
impressions on the same. Just the way you would explain to a
friend who visits your home!
Of course not! One of
the objectives of the website is to enable collectors of
Indian Art to share their art collection with like minded
collectors of Indian art from around the world. Other
collectors will enjoy viewing your artworks and can also send
you messages complimenting it. They may also seek information
on the artists or references for getting their artworks.
Buying and selling is only a secondary objective of the
website, but a logical one, given the high commissions art
collectors pay for transacting in the secondary market.
No,
Indian Art Ideas is
hosting art collections for free. The mission of our forum is
to create an online portal which showcases Indian Art in its
all encompassing form, including those in the possession of
collectors from across the world.
Once you have logged
into your account and uploaded your artwork it will appear in
your Collector's Area under the "View your Collection"
section. With every artwork you will have an option of marking
it with "Willing to Sell". Simply tick this check box, and
your artwork will appear on the web site with the "Willing to
Sell" flash.
When you upload the
image of your artwork, it goes to the backend office for
editing purposes. Once we do the editing the image gets
activated on the website.
Please make sure that
the image size is not bigger than the acceptable size. The
artwork itself can be very big, but you can still reduce the
size of the image on the "Paint" function in your computers,
to a size that can be easily uploaded on the website.
If the artwork is by an
artist who is registered with us then you can simply login as
a user, click on Add to Cart and proceed to buy it.
If the artwork is by an artist who is not registered with
us, then it belongs to a collector with whom you can directly
negotiate. In this case, you will see a “Send Message to
Collector” link against that work. Simply login and send a
message to the collector enquiring about the price and
authenticity details. In this case Indian Art Ideas will not
be involved in the transaction in any way.
When you contact the
collector through our inbuilt messaging system, the message is
sent privately and anonymously - only your username will show
up as your identity. The two of you can then transact
privately if you wish to buy sell art.
If that is the case,
check if your Internet Explorer accepts pop ups. In case you
have pop up blockers, in other words, your Internet Explorer
has been set to disable pop ups, then accessing the website
may give you a problem. To enable pop ups, (if you use
Internet Explorer) go to "Tools" in your menu bar and enable
pop ups. If you do not use Internet Explorer and instead use
Netscape Mozilla, you have to go into "Tools" in the menu bar
and from there go to "Options" to enable pop ups.
If the problem still persists write to us at contact@indianartideas.com
Each collector agrees
with the 'Terms & Conditions' of Indian Art Ideas while
posting his/her artworks. This clearly states that the artwork
is original and he/ she have documentary proof for the same.
As a measure to ensure originality, Indian Art Ideas advises
its members to ask for this documentary proof while
undertaking any transaction.
If another collector
contacts you, his/her message will appear in your 'Check
Message' section under the link 'Collector 's Area' present at
the top left of the page. You can reply to him through this
messaging system or contact each other outside this portal
once you have exchanged your contact information. In the
spirit of building communication on this online portal,
Indian
Art Ideas requests you to be prompt in replying to your
messages.
If you want to delete an
artwork, simply go into ‘View Collections’ in your Member Area
and delete the work. If you want to edit the information,
click on “Contact Us” and send a message to us.
